Mothers Day Sun, May 11, 2008	Bring your favourite chick to a Mothers Day bird watching tour. Experienced birder Lauren Melzack will lead visitors through the site to see ducks, raptors and woodpeckers. Moms get in for a tooney and will recieve a special present. Tours are at 10, 11 am, 12 noon and 1 pm.
Fathers Day Tractor Show Sun, Jun 15, 2008	This ever popular event is hosted in partnership with the Vintage Machinery Society of the Cowichan area. Their large collection of fully restored farm and forest tractors provides a day any dad just doesn't want to miss.
Canada Day Tue, Jul 1, 2008	Join us in a Celebration of Canada's Birthday. This day is a real birthday party with live entertainment, crafts, face painting and ol' time sports day races for everyone. Island Savings and Peter Baljet provide the admission and train rides for everyone.
BC Day is Kids Day Mon, Aug 4, 2008	Fun family entertainment, kids crafts, cross cut sawing, and shake splitting. This day is all about kids, we bring in the bouncy castle, clowns, face paints and bubbles. If you have young kids you don't want to miss this day.
Labour Day Family Picnic Mon, Sep 1, 2008	Traditionally this day is for family picnics. Relay races, scavenger hunts and musical entertainment make this day a fun day for everyone.
National Forestry Week Kick Off Celebratrion Sat, Sep 20, 2008	This day celebrates the role forestry has played in building our communities across Canada and is a national celebration. Enjoy guided tours and forestry demonstrations.
